What is an academic support teacher?
An increasing number of students are being assigned an academic support lecturer via the SPS scheme. A support lecturer is usually a lecturer from the student’s study programme who guides and motivates the student concerning academic challenges.

What is a support person?
Many students are assigned a support person via the SPS scheme. A support person is typically a fellow student enrolled in a higher year on the same study programme as the student. The role of the support person is to support the student with the more practical and social matters associated with studying.
